Norman Riggsby (K5LYO) Silent Key

Sir Norman Riggsby knighted by France for his service at Normandy came to my office at Medina United Methodist Church. Norman love HAM Radio and I gave him an opportunity to use my VHF station. Here is a YouTube video.

After the Normandy invasion (he received a Purple Heart) he served as one of General Patton’s scouts (received a second Purple Heart).

Later he served as an MP during the Nuremberg Trials. In the photo below you can see Norman to the far left right next to General Hermann Goering.
