“The Lucado Inspirational Reader”

The Inspirational ReaderI just got through going through Max Lucado’s latest book, “The Lucado Inspirational Reader: Hope and Encouragement for Your Everyday Life.”  It is not only an awe inspiring daily reader, but also an incredible resource for pastors and teachers.  It is a compilation of all his previous works compiled by subject.  This book is loaded with all of Lucado’s best stuff.  I eagerly reread stories that touched and stirred my soul years ago.  They were just as powerful and inspiring as when I first read them.  I find that Max’s books are so inspiring and I was so excited to read such a compilation covering the 25 years of his ministry.

The book is extremely well made with thick pages.  There was an extremely helpful Topical as well as sources Index in the back of the book.  The only thing I would have loved to see would be a Scriptural Index.  I found myself making my own Scriptural Index in the back of the book so I would be able to look up stories and illustrations based on a Scripture.  I also had a little trouble with the font that was used in reading the page numbers and Scriptural references. Other than those two thing, I find “The Lucado Inspirational Reader,” well worth the time and effort to read.  I’ve already dog-eared a couple of stories that I plan on reading to my family.

I recieved this book free in exhange for an honest and nonbiased review of it’s contents.
